Today the birds are chirping and the sun is shining. Why you ask? Because school starts today for all Chicago Public School students!

State of Illinois seeks flexibility with NCLB Waiver

Featured News from the Illinois Watchdog News blog states that Illinois seeks flexibility with No Child Left Behind waiver. Part of the criteria for obtaining a waiver is that the state still must provide a way to assess students’ academic process from year to year, but constant progress isn’t a necessity to get federal dollars.
